Vishay purchased the BLH and Nobel businesses from Thermo Electron Corporation in 2002. BLH and Nobel were engaged in the production and sale of load-cell-based process weighing systems, weighing and batching instruments, web tension instruments, weighing scales, servo control systems, and components relating to load cells including strain gages, foil gages, and transducers. Today, Vishay BLH is one of the brands within the Vishay Transducers division of Vishay Measurements Group. Former BLH products -- with the exception of strain gages -- are now branded Vishay BLH. Strain gage products formerly branded BLH, including SR-4® strain gages now fall under the Vishay Micro-Measurements brand as part of the Micro-Measurements division of Vishay Measurements Group.
