Vishay acquired the transducer and strain gage businesses of Sensortronics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of load cells and torque transducers, in 2002. This acquisition included a wholly owned subsidiary called JP Technologies that manufactured strain gages. Today, Vishay Sensortronics is one of the brands within the Vishay Transducers division of Vishay Measurements Group. Former Sensortronics products — with the exception of strain gages — are now branded Vishay Sensortronics. Strain gage products formerly associated with JP Technologies and Sensortronics now fall under the Vishay Micro-Measurements brand as part of the Micro-Measurements division of Vishay Measurements Group.
