The Perspective:
Vishay's two new 1.25 MHz boost converters provide
90 % typical efficiency, a wide input voltage range of 2.5 V to 6.0 V,
and output voltages of up to 17 V for the SiP12510 and 28 V for the
SiP12511. The device can drive up to eight white LEDs. The SiP12510/11
features a remarkable combination of features, including high efficiency
(90 %), ultra-low shutdown current (<1 µA), and minimal board space
requirements. These unique characteristics make the SiP12510 and 12511
ideal for space-constrained, battery-operated portable electronic
applications such as cell phones, PDAs, and digital cameras.
Availability:
Samples of the new SiP12510
and SiP12511 are available now. Production quantities will be
available in Q2 2007, with lead times of 13 weeks for larger orders.
