Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announces the industry's first
professional automotive thin film chip resistor in the 0603 case size to
combine a high operating temperature to +175 °C (1000 hours) and an
advanced level of rated power.

performance of the new chip resistor meet the automotive requirements of
today and the future

The Perspective:
The new Vishay Beyschlag MCT 0603 AT is designed to meet the automotive
requirements of today and the future. The device is the industry's first
professional automotive thin film chip resistor in the 0603 case size to
combine a high operating temperature to +175 °C (1000 hours) and an
advanced level of rated power. While most thin film chip resistors offer
power ratings to 100 mW at +70 °C ambient temperature, the power
rating of the MCT 0603 AT is specified to 150 mW at +85 °C. This high
power rating, combined with the device's high-temperature performance and
excellent moisture resistivity specified to . 0.5 %, allow the
AEC-Q200-compliant resistor to provide high reliability in harsh
environments.

Samples and production quantities of the new MCT 0603 AT resistor are
available now with lead times of five to six weeks for larger orders.
